ACD Session No: 399 : Keeping students engaged and involved in ELT classrooms Concluded on Saturday, January 27 2018
As an ELT professional, we often observe our students showing lack of interest and enthusiasm in the classroom. Despite the awareness and significance of students centered approach, we as teachers cannot resist dominating our classrooms. There is a desperate need to realize the notion of education system in the 21st Century where teachers should think outside of the box in order to engage their students in learning effectively. No longer can children afford to be passive or coast through their school days.
Enthusiasm in the classroom makes a student engaged in learning and develops intrinsic motivation to learn effectively. If the teacher fails to show interest and enthusiasm even if he has wonderful ideas and amazing information he can’t get the attention of his students. To avoid these issues, this session will empower teachers with different strategies and practices to involve students in classrooms retaining their enthusiasm and excitement.
