6-Hour Workshop : Teaching Essay Writing Skills Concluded on Saturday, February 17 2018

The writing skill is one of the major areas of academics. Good writing skills show that the learner is well versed, appropriately groomed and adequately well informed. Unfortunately, this skill has always remained a problem for school and college students in the academic context in Pakistan, and carries over into higher education and professional life too. English language teachers and writing trainers are constantly complaining that their learners are not interested in writing classes, but write they must, because their academics depends on being able to write with relevance, precision and clarity. Therefore, teachers need to learn how to teach essay writing to make essay writing meaningful. Using a series of steps, will empower teachers to acquire the methodology and strategies required to empower their students. Learners will then be able to use the steps to write essays effectively at any given time and on any assigned topic.
